Fulbright Scholar Jack Wilkins

The Canada-U.S. Fulbright Program operates on the principle of reciprocal exchange and provides the opportunity for outstanding American scholars to lecture and/or conduct research in Canada. Award recipients include prominent and promising scholars, as well as experienced professionals.

Visiting Fulbright Scholar Jack Wilkins will present a concert of new works developed as part of his appointment as Research Chair in the School of Creative and Performing Arts.  

This concert will feature Jack Wilkin's new compositions written especially for Calgary based musicians and creative thinkers, and collaborative works by Wilkins and:

 

New compositions in collaborative project with Professor Jeremy Brown, Music

New composition in collaboration with Michell Gregoire - Calgary based composer and pianist

Arrangement of existing work by Jack Wilkins in collaboration with Nia Devetzis - Graduate Percussion major with the UC Percussion Ensemble

New compositions written for Calgary based Jazz musicians:

Kodi Hutchinson, bass

Tyler Hornby, drums

Chris Andrews, piano
