Christopher Hunt - BFA

I have lots of vivid memories from my time at U of C - classes and lessons learned, people, parties, shows, lifelong friends - far too many to mention. My advice to prospective students is to do as much as you can, see as much as you can, and be open to as many different approaches as you can. And be kind to (and get to know) everyone - it's a team sport.

I was fortunate to have several excellent instructors and professors in the drama department, and they all had different and specific areas of knowledge. This gave me an assortment of approaches that continue to be helpful - it's helpful knowing that there is more than one way to do what we do.

Since graduating in 1984, Christopher has primarily done freelance actor work based in Calgary. He usually does 3-6 productions every year, and works for companies large and small - companies here in Calgary, across the country, and sometimes abroad - doing new work, modern classics, musicals, Shakespeare - anything and everything that he can. Christopher has received four of Calgary's Betty Mitchell awards for his acting, and he is one of the featured theatre artists in the Alberta Playwrights Network book "Theatre 100: Celebrating 100 Theatre Practitioners Over 100 Years".
