Kelsey Noble

Senior Recital: Kelsey Noble, flute

March 16, 2015 at 8:15 p.m.

This event is FREE and open to the public.

Kelsey Noble began playing the flute at the age of thirteen in order to annoy her parents. This has lead to a love of music that has Kelsey studying with Gwen Klassen in her fourth year of the music performance program. In addition to her lessons, Kelsey has had the opportunity to perform in masterclasses for Lorna McGhee, Carolyn Christie, Cathy Ransom and Susan Hoeppner. She also participated in the Pender Island Flute Retreat in the summers of 2011 and 2012. Last year Kelsey was selected to perform in the School of Creative and Performing Arts opening show Aesop’s Fables, which was an exploration in interdisciplinary arts. Kelsey and Nia Devetzis commissioned The Forgotten by Corey deBaat and premiered this piece in Kelsey’s Junior Recital last year. This year Kelsey is the Concert Master of the Wind Ensemble. Outside of music, she plays field hockey for the University of Calgary Dino’s Field Hockey team.
