March 18 at 8:15 p.m.

This event is free and open to the public.

Jace Eagle Bear began his musical studies at the beginning of junior high school. Originally starting out on the clarinet, he eventually picked up the oboe in the eleventh grade due to a lack of oboe players in his band class. Since the beginning of university, he has completely transitioned over to learning the oboe and has not looked back. For two years, he attended the University of Lethbridge and in 2011, transferred over to the University of Calgary. He is currently in his final year of oboe study with David Sussman. Besides the oboe, Jace also studies the erhu with Yu Hongmei. Besides music, Jace also shares a similar passion for drawing, painting, fire spinning, learning new languages, and traditional Chinese martial arts.
