Junior Recital Dylan Martin - trombone

Dylan Martin started his musical journey on trombone when he was 12 years old. Playing it all thought junior and senior high school. Then in 2010 he graduated from Centennial High School and moved on to become a music major at the University of Calgary after a successful audition. Since then he has been very active in the music community in and around Calgary as both a trombone player and a euphonium player. At the University, he has been a member of many ensembles including the U of C Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Brass Choir, Big Band and Orchestra. In the community he has been a member of the Calgary Stampede Showband as well as the Alberta Winds. Last Summer Dylan Spent his time as a member of the Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps. This was after a successful audition in the winter of 2012 and spent his summer preparing and performing exciting shows for many American audiences. He will be attending one more time this summer as his Age-out of the activity. Dylan is also very active as an educator in and around the city of Calgary. He teaches clinics to Junior and Senior High school students, as well as being an instructor at the Calgary Round-up Band and Calgary Stetson Showband. Dylan is currently studying trombone with Jim Scott and has previously studied euphonium with Michael Eastep.
