Conduct is a hybrid performance/event inspired by the enigmatic life and career of Henry Cowell, one of the most influential American composers of the 20th Century. Incorporating drama, music, dance, physical theatre, and intermedia, Conduct explores themes of innovation and eccentricity, morality and prejudice, sexuality and identity, and creativity in captivity.

Can oppression spawn invention? Is genius inevitably misunderstood? Ten faculty members and over 50 students from all three SCPA disciplines collaborate on a feast for the imagination and the senses.
