The University of Calgary Chamber Choir is one of two choirs at the U of C and rehearses twice each week. The choir strives to sing a broad range of quality repertoire and membership is by audition. They are active throughout Alberta and in 1988 and 1996 were finalists in CBC Choral Competition. Past tours have included the Eastern USA in 1990, Western Canada in 1994, and Europe in 1996.

For the past four years, the choir has been involved with collaborations with visiting choirs for their December concert and this year performed Stella Natalis by Karl Jenkins with the Calgary Civic Orchestra.

The spring concert Up From Darkness on April 4 will showcase the U of C Wind Ensemble and U of C Chamber Choir working together to perform Jacob de Haan’s Missa Brevis and George Gershwin's Highlights from Porgy and Bess.

As well the choir will be performing a work called Alleluia for choir, piano, and horn with Adam Uzick playing the French horn. Other works will include a new piece called Early Bird by Rene Clausen, and Dry Your Tears, Afrika by John Williams.
