Junior Recital Andrew Leal - trumpet

Andrew Leal began playing music in 2005 and is now in his fourth year of his Bachelors of Music degree in Integrated Music Performance and Secondary Music Education at the University of Calgary.  He began taking lessons from Leanne Paisley and Ricardo Fonseca, University of Calgary Alumni, before beginning his journey at the University of Calgary with Mr. Howard Engstrom, Principal Emeritus of the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra.  Leal is currently serving as the Principal trumpet of the University of Calgary Wind Ensemble, the University of Calgary Orchestra, as well as a member of the University of Calgary Jazz Orchestra, and finally the University Brass Choir.  Upon completion of his Bachelors degree, Leal plans to continue his education by pursuing his Masters Education and Masters in Performance degrees.  His Junior recital will contain works by Joseph Haydn, Eugene Bozza, Henry Purcell, and Victor Ewald.
