Ana Angelovska

Senior Recital Ana Angelovska - flute

Ana Angelovska began her flute studies at the age of 10 in Skopje, Macedonia. During these early years, she was encouraged to enter many international competitions including Giovani Talenti - Concorso Internazionale di Esecuzione Strumentale e Vocale and 2nd Regional Competition of Classical Music – Pristine. Four years later, Ana immigrated to Canada with her family and started taking flute lessons at Mount Royal University. At the same time she was a student of the Music Academy Program, offered at the university’s conservatory. In Canada, Ana has had the chance to participate in the local and provincial Kiwanis festival, CMC and the Frank Simpson Concerto competition. In 2012, as a finalist of the RBC Concerto Competition, Ana had the chance to perform with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra. She is excited to be one of the finalists of this year’s RBC Concerto Competition. A graduate of the Calgary Youth Orchestra, Ana is in her fourth year of university working towards a Bachelor’s Degree of Music in Performance with Gwen Klassen as her teacher.
